WE have 5 little crysallis who have just gone into their little home/farm cage where they will sit/hang carefully we hope until they open up and turn into beautiful butterflies. We are hoping that they will stay where they are to stay until the day they are to hatch. Its really been fun to watch the caterpillar(sp?) then turn into their crysallis and now they are just hanging around waiting.

How weird! We are doing the exact same experiment here right now! One larvae didn't make it to the chrysalis stage and one chrysalis probably isn't going to make it to the butterfly stage (looks a little strange). Ellie named the first butterfly Heart. One emerged yesterday & Delilah named it Flower. Wesley had the honor today and called his butterfly Diamond. Heart flew away already and we will release the other 2 tomorrow afternoon.
I ordered butterfly houses for 2 of the 'grands' today and a ladybug house for another of the 'grands'. It is very interesting! Hope your littles enjoy it as much as ours did.
