"were going to Disneyland"

We are getting ourselves ready and packed for our trip to Disneyland this weekend....
The 4 of us ad grandson isaiah will head off in the van Friday morning!!!
we will do the park Saturday and Sunday and do the drive home Monday.
I did some shopping for some car travel bags for the kids,some new coloring materials,snacks,etch a sketch,new sun glasses etc,several new movies for the DVD player in the van in hopes that we will survive the drive. Wish us luck and we will post more and pics as well as we go.

baby shower/march 2009

We celebrated katy's baby shower this past weekend,we had it out doors on a beautiful sunny afternoon at a park in napa where the folks could visit and the kids could play.
She got alot of great things,she has mor diapers than the Huggies factory. I think she is all set,now all we need is this bay!!!

Buddy has been with us a week now and had his first official bath in the shower with Isaiah and I. Once we talked him out of the bathroom corner where he stood shaking he really didnt mind the warm water at all. isaiah sprayed him and i sscrubbed him. his shampoo smells like orange and his new collar like coconut,i think so i think he smells like a tropical fruit drink,katy thought he smelled like a hanging car air freshner. Any way,buddy is really clean now. isaiah was with us for the weekend anmet Buddy for the first time,they are best friends.
I have a couple silly kids although laurel has been rather a poop these days so she wasnt participation. Zak and i were having camera fun.

so i have been so busy that i cant keep up any more!!!! help!
We celebrated our grandson isaiah's 6th bday last weekend with a party at the park with friends and family,i just cant understand where the years have gone. i was in the delivery room when he was born,i helped pull him from his momma's body,and i recall it like just last night. He has turned in to such a nice little guy,so much fun to have around and so polite.
The big even at our house is that we have adopted again... this time,a 1 yr old terrier mix puppy,his name is "Buddy" and he is just the sweetest,most gentle well behaved little guy. so far h is just the perfect fit for our family.
We took him to the dog park the day after we brought him home,the weather was wet and grey but not raining so off we went. Zak was chasing him thru the dog park,as children will do,when he slipped,slid and sploosh!!!!! right into a pile of dog poop. yes!!! someone failed to clean up after their dog,despite the fact that our tax payers money provieds bags and gloves at the gate into the park,someone just couldnt be bothered.
He sat up,held his right hand up and said "ohhh mommy,whats that" i laughed so hard i cried. nothing on his clothes,shoes or anywhere but the right hand. Took him to the water fountain and washed him down and we were back to chaseing the new pet. I think he is going to be dad's good buddy,they are already very close. He,Buddy that is, not dad,sleeps under the bed covers,way down under,we arnt sure how he breathes but he seems do do fine.
Both kids are doing well in Pre school...Laurel seems to be adjusting well to her new pre school,she has some new friends and dad has done his first day of parent co-oping last week. he said it seemed like a good program.
Zak sswems to be having some seperation stuff going on at night esp,i help him to bed,to sleep and then off i go. He is wakeing up more often and crying for me to come back to sleep with him. he also has a "thing" about certain things that i wear. He does NOT like me to wear my glasses. He doesnt like me to wear a certain swet shirt that i like and he wants me to wear my blue night gown to bed. He is really funny about stuff like that. Funny little guy!!!
laurel is having some attitude issues,a real 4 yr old GIRL!!!!! UGH.....Zak tries it on for size after she does as well.
We are really looking forward to the spring and oour lighter evenings so that we can get down to walk the dog and the kids can ride their bikes at the water in the evenings.

Im not sure i like this sitting up here in the morning getting ready for work and its still dark outside.
Zak told me yesterday morning,the first work morning after the time change that "mommy,u cant go to work,its dark outside". I like his way of thinking.
We have a busy week,will post more info and pics as we progress.

So someone told me that it was March already. I missed about a week between sick kids,Laurels new pre school and a very busy couple weeks at work.
Lets start back at the beginning of the month.
Many of you either knew or know of my 3rd bio daughter,Corinne.She fought Leukemia for 6 yrs,starting when she was 6 and it all ended when she was 12. The 10th anniversary of her death was march 2, we still miss her very very much and think alot about how much we would be enjoying Laurel and Zakary,isaiah and Sierra. She Loved babies and children but her biggest love was animals. We used to say that she would rather spend a day with an animal than any person. "miss you Cory,very much"
Laurel started a new Pre school. She now goes 3 mornings a week all by herself while Zak and daddy still go to "stepping Stones" the pre school where the kids and dad go together. So far she likes school and her teachers name is Chris. She has already been invited to her first classmates bday party. We had horrific weather last week which included rain,alot of rain,lightning and thunder and even alot of hail. Kinda reminded us of being in Guangzhou in May.
Zakary had been sick since we got back from Delaware,he had been coughing and coughing. Finally this past weekend the vough got really bad,he couldnt catch his breath and no one could sleep. The doctor put him on ALOT of nebulizer treatments,steroids and antibiotics,his oxygen level was not so great when we were at the MD office and now he is MUCH improved and sleeping again. YAHOOOOO.
Work has been very busy,its a good busy but i do just sorta flop when i get home.
So life is good here at the Raymond household. The kids and I will go to order isaiah's 6th birthday cake for his party next weekend,he is very into Star Wars so we will do it all Star Wars. Next weeekend will be going to order Katy's baby shower cake,i seem to be in charge of all the cakes this year,must be that i have the costco membership.
soooooo off i go to feed the kids,dad is working this am and tomorrow am so i am in charge,and off for another running day with the "twozies" who are now both 4.
ohhhh dont forget to change your clocks tonight.
