April 29 2010 Butterflys are ready to fly!

This am the butterflies are ready to fly on their own. All 5 survived the cacoon,the crysallis,the dog and two 5 yr olds. So this am,with laurel is tears,aas she was not wanting to give up her butterflies we took them out onto the front porch and let them go. They sat for a bit,i am sure a bit shocked by the whole experience and then off they went. laurel did get over the grief and Zak was fine the entire time. We talked about not wanting them to live their whole short life in acage,they needed to go fly and meet friends and so on. So away they went and off laurel went to school. She did make us promise that we would get some more to raise and let go. It was really a fun thing to do.
