the garter wedding day 2009

i fogot to mention though Laurel couldnt jump quite high enough to catch the bouquet,Destiny stands about 6'1 Zakary did catch the Garter that his big brother flung!!! vety cute and a very happy little brother but he says "but mommy,i dont ever want to get married". we explained that that was ok as well,that he didnt have to,not even ever. LOL but i think its that he doesnt wantto move away from mommy. LOLL

Wedding Day August 29 2009

The wedding is come and gone. It was an swesome day!!! quite warm but a bit of a breeze and once the sun went down at the reception,it was perfect. But no one let the heat get to them...We all had a great time. They did a great job planning and pulling off the wedding and reception..... Everyone was beautiful and well behaved. I am anxious to see the professionaal photos but here are the ones we took.

Tomorrow August 29 2009
Chris and destiny,after 7 yrs together will finally tie the knot.
We will be out the door early tomorrow for studio pictures,just Stan and i and the kids. We figured when better,when we all looked good at one time,does not happen too often you know. and then off to the wedding,2 pm and then reception to follow.
I will of course post pics after the weekend..... Wish them god luck.

I just wanted to post a quick special announcement and then will post pics of it when i get them downloaded. Wednesday eve at Tae kwon Do,both Laurel and Zak tested and both were given their first black stripe to wear on their while belt. They will have to earn 3 black stripes and then they will go on and get their yellow belt.
Both were very excited,running up the stairs to get to me to tell me,yelling all the way..." i got a black stripe!!!!!!!....."me toooooooo"........ very cute and very exciting!!

First day of Kindergarten Aug 19 2009

Laurel started Kindergarten today. She is going to the Vallejo Charter School here in Vallejo and her teachers name is Mrs Piper,pronounced Peeper.
She was not terribly enthused at the thought of going to school without brother but once she got going,she seemed just fine. She didnt want to tell me much about her day until i got home and was able to sit and cuddle with her,she wanted to hug and squeeze while she told me about her day. She did well and had fun,i will post more as the days progress.

I am a little late in getting to this job this eve but i want to post and to wish my first born child,my oldest son Christopher a very happy 30th birthday. somehow,somewhere he grew up really really fast. Not only is he 30 today,he will be getting married in just 10 more short days. Im not sure how all this happened,where the time went and i am sure that i almost missed it all. LOL sooooooooooooo Happy Birthday my first born.......30 today. I love you so.....mom

And then on the other note?? my two little ones are all tucked in an asleep early tonight cuz tomorrow is laurel's first day of Kindergarten......Where did that time go?
So one is 30 and marrying soon and one is starting her education adventure. I will post pics later tomorrow when i have some.

So the past 2 weeks have been a blur. First zak the flu, and boy was he sick. then laurel the flu and boy was i scared. She breezed thru fairly easily although neither of the two are by any means 100% yet. Both asking for naps and for bed time,about an hour earlier than usual.
Then what was the worst that could happen??? yes mom could get the flu too. She did,and i am still feeling crappy. Employee health has me out till next week,7 full days following the onset of symptoms. I have still such fatigue and the pain in my ears from pressure is killing me.
So far,dad is squeeking by.
I have posted some pics from the week while i have been home sick. One day,laurel stayed behind with me and dad took Zak bike rideing,and this eve,the kids participated in their first class of sparring for their Tae kwon Do. They have been taking lessons for a few months now but had not gotton into the sparring part,till last night when the instructor asked who would be there this eve and both kids threw their arms arm and said "me me me me" so we were . We zipped from laurels gym class to Tae Kwon Do where they had a blast and wore them out good. Although,we are finding that that kind of activity really winds Zak up. He has been talking and going a mile a min since we left sparring. LOL LOL LOL i told Stan,ok,warm dinner,warm bath,benedryl and MAYBE he will go to sleep? LOL Will let you know how that worked for us later on.

August 8 2009

So zak is improving..in fact,he is doing MUCH much better today. no fever now for several hrs. and is back pretty much to his punky little self,he isnt 100% by far but is certainly not so sick.
Laurel has for sure NOT got the same flu, she is by NO MEANS as ill as Zak,no way no how. She doesnt feel good,at all,he nose is crappy and green and fever is still low grade and the conjunctivitis is getting under control but she is not feeling as terrible as she was 2 nights ago, she is MUCH MUCH better off that Zak was. thank goodness.
Slow and quiet weekend this weekend before the pre wedding festivities start next weekend,bridal showers,parties and so on and then zooming into the big day on the 29th so we have all gotta get better and real better real soon.

Zak has the flu

August 4 2008 (i think)
Well, it seems that Zakary has the flu to go along with his ear infection.
He has a high fever that wont go away and a cough,not toooooooooo bad yet,and aches and pains and feels hell hell. This is the first time that Zak has actually run a fever, a real fever and is truly ill since we have had him home with us.
Sure he has had a sniffle and even a true cold but not like this. This poor little guy is really misreable.
Doctor called tonight to say the strep culture is negative so that the dreaded word "virus" is what we have going and that we MAY see a break in the high fever by Thursday,she says its going around and going around hard so that all of us avoiding it will be a real challenge. We are doing our best of course to keep him away from laurel for sure but that can only be done so well..... Wish us luck....and that zakky feels better soon. He really feels terrible right now.
