thanksigving 2008/continued

I faliled to mention that Zak ate 5 plates(small sized) of the entire thanksgiving meal,veggies and all. He was literrally falling asleep at the table with the last few bites,man that turkey hit him fast. LOL LOL the pic of me holding him is that of the result of thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving 2008

We had a nice thanksgiving this year except none of the big kids were with us. None of them were able to get away long enough to make it worth the drive to my older brother bruce;s home in Corning calif. So the 4 of us head out,had a nice,big thanksgiving meal with about 30 people total,mostly Julie's family,since they all live right there. It was great to have a lot of outdoor space for the kids and alot of other kids for the two to play with.
Unfortunatly, i started to feel ucky thanksgiving eve,but woke up the next day just a mess. Runny,stuffy,teary,coughy cold mess so rather than staying there and feeling misreable and possibly passing it along,although Julie also woke up feeling pretty crappy we head home. On the way home stopped along the way at a couple of places where we had seen sales on things we had been wanting to pick up for Christmas gifts.
We made it home and was glad to be home feeling misreable in my own bed.

Being there was no official pre school for the kids this past week of thanksgiving,several families decided that theiy could not bear to keep the kids home with nothing to do and no activities so they orgamized a trio,for whomever to the mare island Fire station. They have a female fire captain who seemed less than thrilled to have the kids there. What happened to the fire stations who's doors were always open and they LOVED having visitors. Any way, the kids had a blast. When asked who wanted to shoot the fire hose first,laurel jumped right up there and away she went. Zak is more timid but he too, got to to work the hose.
They saw where they live,sat in the chairs where the firefighters sit to watch tv and watched a bit of Clifford(not sure if thats what theu guys were watching when the kids showed up or not)

november 2008

Well i am not sure at all where my post went,the pictures showed up but no journal.
Zakary started the city mini youth soccer league today, he ws not at all sure he wanted anything to do with it but while we were driving to the community center,where they play,he did keep telling us " we are going to be late for soccer" "we cant be late for soccer. I spoke with the coach and told him he ws going to need a bit of encouragement,he ws fine with that. As long as he could see me,he was fine,after just a bit,he was off running with the other kids,chaseing the soccer ball. He is not a terribly aggressive player,which is fine,he is part of the team and seems to be enjoying it,as long as now and again he could look over and see that i was there.
Isaiah also spent the weekend with us,it had been a long while since he had had a sleep over at our house,very different than when he was here almost every weekend.
The kids had a good time together but i gotta tell you,this house is getting small with the three kids getting so big so quickly.

this morning,Zak and laurel are argueing over a little apple sticky note pad. he says he is NOT going to share,i told him it was nice to share,and that she would share her toy as well. He said clear as day " barack obama gave me these and he said i didnt have to share". So there ya go.......
does that work even if he is not quite yet sworn in and living in the white house??

thanksgiving at pre school

The kids and dad had a Thanksgiving party and feast at pre school this morning!!
Each family was to bring something for the feast. We were assigned a Turkey breast.
The kids played games and made headbands,the grown ups were the pilgrams and the children all the indians. There wa food in abundance dad said and everyone had a great time.
We will be heading to Corning,Calif this next Wednesday for a few days over thanksgiving to be with my older brother,Bruce and his family. (Zakary's middle name is Bruce,yes after my brother) we will check in after that.

Alright.....so we are having the most incredible weather,and it just keeps a coming!
yesterday the beach and today while i was at a meeting all afternoon,Dad tok the kids and head to the oakland zoo. No sweaters and no long sleeves. They even had a slushie and pop sicles it was so warm and sunny.
We cant wait to see what Christmas weather brings. ha ha ha....

sunny November weather 2008

ok so who would guess that saturday November 15 2008 would be 80 degree's out,at the beach. Only here in Calofornia,and even in California, pretty amazing.
We packed a lunch,swim suits and sun screen. Drove to Stinson beach and WOW was it amazing. There was the slightest of breeze,barely enough to keep us cool and the sun was shining brightly all day.
The kids love the water and esp picking up sea shells. now when we arrived,about 11 am the time was soooooooooooo far in,there was hardley any beach at all. I had never seen it like that i dont think, and i have spent alot of time growing up at Stinson Beach.
The kids were pooped out by the end of the day,and we actually have a stroller picture attached here of them both crying hysterically while we are heading back to the car from a walk thru town. We cant believe that we would spend thanksgiving at the beach.
