October/November 2010

I am having a hard time keeping up these days!! wonder why? with a schedule like this its a wonder i get anything done. Seems all i get done is LAUNDRY!!! and that is like forever coming!
We have had unseasonably warm weather..Stan took the kids to the beach one day last week when they were out of school and i was at work. It was beautiful.
The little kids had parent teacher conferences and they are both doing VERY well. laurel needs to work a bit on the speed of her reading. After all,she is in 1st grade. Im not sure when speed reading became an issue at age 6. She is reading very well and im not sure that it isnt more important that she read to understand and enjoy than to read so fast she can offer a speed reading class.
Zak is doing very well as well,he is everyones friend and an excellant student in Kindergarten.
Sherry,in 10th grade has gotton all A's so far and is in touch with her parents in China working on getting into a very excellant college prep high school here in America. We are not yet sure where that will be. She will go home in June,as her VISA states but then will return to wherever they choose. I think her parents are hoping that one of the California schools will pan out for her. She will live in a dorm but would certainly be nice to have her close enough to have somewhere to go for holidays and god forbid an emergency arise. We will see.
Hallowen was alot of fun but it went on way too long, like 3 full days, parties and parades and trick or treat. lol Sherry found that to be quite entertaining.
Zak just earneed his 3rd stripe on his orange belt in Tae Kwon DO. We are all very proud of him,he himself, esp proud.
Laurel has been advanced to a pre competition gym team and is now at the gym 6hrs per week working out. We are spending alot of time volunteering and working on things to bank hrs for come competition time. YIKES!!!
WE are planning to have Thanksgiving here this next week and i am on vacation all week. Its nice to just not have to hurry.
Kids are still takiong mandarin lessons,Sherry is still teaching and the kids are loving it.
Enjoy the pics and i hope i got you all caught up for now. We will post again after thanksgiving.
