Chinese New years

Gung Hay Fat Choy!!!!
from our house to your house.
Monday starts the Chinese New Year, this year the year of the OX.
Chinese new years lasts for several days and believe me,we have several days worth of celebrating planned. today we went to China town to find laurel and new Chinese dress, she has worn her lst one to pieces,i do mean to threads, and that was the one we got for her last trip to China. Zakary's seems to be holding out and still fits well enough to get us through this years festivities.
We will meet with friends tomorrow night for a chinese dinner and then several other festivities over the next week or more to celebrate the year of the OX.
The kids have a Chinese New years party at pre school monday where dad will take them in their Chinese clothes and take along Dim Sum, fortunes cookies and red envelopes for the kids to share.
I will post some pics as we gather them along the way.

Sounds like a fun time! I had to work all weekend, but Doug & I prepared a Chinese dish for supper. We have several decorations and have been reading a lot about CNY.
