end of july 2009

Again...Im a bit behind but will catch you all up right now.
Soooooooooooo last weekend we got up and drove up north to my older brother,Bruce and his wifes home in Corning, Calif. Zakary bruce is named after my older brother Bruce.
We had a great time,the weather was VERY hot,like 107 so we spent one day out on the lake on his boat,zak couldnt wait to go on "uncle Bruces boat". He also got to swim in the lake,and boy did he love that,more than the boat ride. Both kids did very well,the loved the lake and didnt want to get out. The rest of the hot weekend we spent around and near the house where it was cool and the pool was in the back yard,again, they loved the pool as did we all.
This past week has been rather unexpectadly hectic and really not what we had anticipated or wanted. Between crazy and unusually long work days,the kids had their morning swim lessons and then went to day camp at the gym where laurel has her gym class,they had fun but then their eve activities and too much time away from home,mom,dad and routine pretty well did them in. Most of the eves were spent crying and whining due to being exhausted. Think we are gonna slow WAYYYYYYYYYYYY down this weekend.
Swim class is over and they have been advanced to level 2 now and day camp is over as well,unless we get into another bind,that should do it for day camp.
We got a call this past Monday that Laurel has been accepted to the Vallejo Charter school,where we had hoped she would be accepted but they choose yearly by using a lottery pull. laurel was 10 on the waiting list but we got the call she is in. It will be much nicer than being in Petaluma,we wont have to rearrange her other activities,due to drive times and so on. She will still have full day Kindergarten but will be right close to home. We are hoping for the best for all that.
